I like the simplicity of this draft, especially the colour pallette of black, white, and blue. The font also matches the simple style of the magazine and is consistent throughout, and is something the readers can relate the magazine to (if it became a logo etc. along with the title). The main image looks really good on the front cover and the lighting looks deliberate coming through the window, which also adds to the 'folk' genre that you are going for. The only element that I would change is the models pose/facial expressions on the contents page or double page spread, just to show a variety of images. But other than that, I like it a lot!
This draft is simple and effective. I really like the DPS as it's all spaced out nicely, and is eyecatching to look at. The font used on the DPS stands out well- and is eye catching for the reader. The element I would change here is, I would experiement with the colour of the header- perhaps sticking to a black, or perhaps a darker navy if that's the colour scheme you desire. The Front Page, stands out well, the image is eyecatching. The font used is effective and is easy to read for the reader. The only aspect, I would change is resize the bar code as I believe it's too larger, and is too distracting at the moment. The contents page, works well and flows nicely from the Front cover. I header for this works very well, but perhaps shrink it in size, as for me it's too overwhelming at the moment. I believe also that there should be more text on this page, as at the moment to text that is there looks a bit lost. Overall the contents page looks simplistic and works really well for the genre of your magazine. I like this draft a lot!
I really like the colours used apart from i think the background could be more of a grey colour to help it stand out more or use the image to cover the front page instead of having a background. I like the title you have chosen its very catchy and stands out on the front page. The contents page looks good and i like how you have put a page number on the picture instead of just writing what on that page but i think there is too much empty space at the bottom of the magazine that could be filled with some more information. The double page spread looks really good and the layout is great, i also like the long title for the page and i think the image use works really well. :)
