Practice Music Magazine

This is my practice music magazine which I have made and shown step by step. This shows how I have created it by adding all of the different features starting with the magazine name 'DEADLINE'. I chose to call it deadline because it sounds like an authentic name for a magazine. I chose the font for this particular piece of text because it is bold and eye catching and I think that it links to the name which is very to the point. I have then added the image of Alex Turner, front man for indie rock band The Arctic Monkeys which shows him looking relly cool which again links to the name whoch is snappy. I placed it on the left of the magazine cover rather than in the middle of the page as it looks quirky and unique and I want my actual magazine cover to look like this. I then added the text 'MAGAZINE' under the magazine name in the same font only in a smaller size which looks professional. After I added one of the bands album names which is presented as a quote from Alex Turner in a hand written font. I have done this as it draws in the readers attention to the page and gives an insight into what the interview with him will be about. The hand written font links into the image of him on the front cover as he looks cool, relaxed but doesn't look like he's trying too hard and the font has the same look. I then added a barcode onto the bottom of the page to make it look real and professional as all normal magazines have barcodes. To follow this I added the price for the same reasons. I used the same heading font for the proce only not in bold as it isn't the most improtant thing on the page however it needs to link in to the rest of the magazine cover and not look stupid for being out of place. The colours I have used are black and white with the exceptions of dark shades on the image. I think that the simple colours have a good effect of looking very clean and staying professional which is my main aim.

  1. This works brilliantly. For about 60 minutes work this is stunning. Barcode is a bit big and it could do with a bit more text, but still it looks great. Think what you can achieve with more time.
